This week we talk about our buddy Canuck's luck on the big Red River Greenbacks. Congrats Canuck!!! We spend most of out time this week talking about a subject that is pretty popular in fishing circles the past week or so which is slush on the ice. What has happened is with warm weather and rain the weight of the snow has pushed down the ice and flooded it causing a slush layer that makes travel next to impossible. Just pay attention and be careful when fishing. Getting stuck in the slush and cause many problems and be very unsafe.

It finally happened. I finally caught a big walleye. Not only was it a big walleye but is was a Greenback from the great Red River of the North at Lockport. "Team Brad" spent a couple days in Lockport with Stu from Cats on the Red, Canuck and The Complete Angler-Don Lamont

Besides talking about that we recorded this show from a Red River Hookers meeting. It is the Hookers that worked very hard to bring new boat ramps to Grand Forks and who promote the Red as the fishery it is. We talk with Kent from Trophy Cat Adventures, Karry Kyllo, Rodney, and Marty Egeland from the North Dakota Game and Fish Department.

This week we basically talk about ice fishing. We have no real agenda about it just that the season is here and we are ready to walk on some water. We have had extremely cold weather for a few days now and that is good for ice making.

Down to business we talk about getting ready for the season, packaging all our gear for transport and heading out fishing. This weekend we will be our first ice outing. We will have a full report next week.
