Why Fish Radio Episode #81
Listen Now (mp3)
This week we re-cap the annual Canada fishing trip. We talk about fishing Lockport for catfish including my new personal best catfish of 38 inches. That fish hit at the boat so who ever says catfish are slow bottom feeders is wrong. We also talk about going through the St Andrews Lock to get above the dam. Brad Dokken fished in the lock and caught a 32" catfish.
One day we drove the boat from Lockport into Downtown Winnipeg to have lunch and do some fishing. What a great way to see the city and spend an afternoon. We would recommend it to anyone.
The last day we headed two hours east to Crow Duck Lake. This is a catch and release only lake that you have to be portaged to. We were picked up by the owner Bill and taken across Big Whiteshell Lake then in trucks to Crowduck. The fishing was out of this world. 300-400 walleyes between the five of us. If you are looking for an exciting trip that is the fly in with out the plane. Book a trip with Bill at Crow Duck Lake Camp. 204-222-7307.
