TO HERE SHOW #60 PLEASE EMAIL YOUR REQUEST TO brad@whyfishradio.com

Interesting week. Brad Dokken returns from a week at the Northwest Angle of Lake of the Woods where they chased, caught, and ate walleyes and eelpout. The real story of the week was a gentlemen that is 53 years old and on his very first fishing trip. His adventure started with a 40-plus mile snowmobile ride across Lake of the Woods and the highlight was catching a 10 pound plus pout. See, you are never to old to learn the joys of fishing.

Brad also made note to his accomodations at Oak Island. They stayed at Bay Store Camp, owned and operated by Frank Walsh. For a great vacation on Oak Island give them a call or check them out on the web. www.baystorecamp.com.

Why Fish Radio Episode #59

Listen Now (mp3)

Very exciting show this week. All Muskies! We have a special guest from the Grand Forks Air Force Base, Jon Falch. Jon has been a life long musky fisherman. He has traveled the midwest in the pursuit of huge water wolves.

Jon tells us how his father got him hooked on muskies and how he has learned the ropes. We visit about getting started at the outdoor store and heading out to the water. The musky is one of the most exhilarating fish on earth and truly the fish of 10,000 casts. Take a listen and get your casting rods ready.

Why Fish Radio Episode #58

Listen Now (mp3)

Kind of a mixed bag this week. We start out by explaining our goal of taking a week off from fishing and tell how that went. Lets just say we went fishing when we said we wouldn't. Dokken took a small boy ice fishing for the first time to the Body of Water that will remain Nameless. The boy had a great time catching northerns on tip-ups and just being with dad and friends.

That said we head on to explain once again the value northern pike have on the fun meter and why people should respect them more as a fish.

We also talk about an upcoming trip to the Northwest Angle in Minnesota next for Brad Dokken and his friends. Because of that we will have a special guest next week to talk musky fishing.
That should be a good one.

Don't forget to sign up for the guided trip on the Red River with Kent Hollands from Trophy Cat Adventures. Just send an email to contest@whyfishradio.com with your name, address and telephone number to sign up.

As always Why Fish is made possible by Cats on the Red, Today's Tackle, and Trophy Cat Adventures.

Why Fish Radio Episode #57

Listen Now (mp3)

Why Fish is brought to you by Today's Tackle, Trophy Cat Adventures, and Cats on the Red.

Both hosts are back together this week. We start off by catching up to where we have been and what we have been up to over the past couple weeks. Seems that both of us have been doing alot of Northern Fishing but in different places and using different methods.

The big topic is Brad Dokken tells us about his day riding around on Lake of the Woods in a Sno Bear. A contraption that brings the utility of a snowmobile to a permanent ice shelter. He tells us all about fishing from this new and unique contraption. For more information about Sno Bear check them out on the web www.snow-bear.com.

Also the week we talk about the goodness in mankind that has been renewed because fishermen from all around the region chipped in to help out a young man whose fishhouse was destroyed by arson. The fishhouse was specially build for his needs and disability. Great job everyone!

Last but not least don't quit signing up to win the guided trip to the Red River with Kent Hollands from Trophy Cat Adventures. Just send and email with your name, address and telephone number to contest@whyfishradio.com
