Short show this because of the holidays. We figure you all have better things to do than listen to us this week.

Dokken is fresh back from his second trip to Lake of the Woods. He went fishing with some friends for walleyes and saugers but the highlight of the trip was tying into a 9 pound eel pout on a chubby darter. He tells us how it showed up on the Vexilar and just raced up to slam the bait. He also tells us of a 45 inch sturgeon that took nearly 2 hours to land.

Ice conditions are iffy depending on what lake you are on so be careful. You would hate to lose your car or more importantly your life because of bad ice.

Awesome show this week. We are live to hard drive from Ballards Resort on Lake of the Woods. We just got back from day one of a two day walleye trip through the ice. The first real trip was really exciting with the reports we had been hearing but the weather changed and the large numbers of fish turned to a more average outing which was just fine with us.

This week we have special guest for the show. We interview co-owner of Ballards Resort, Gary Moeller. He tells us about winter fishing on Lake of the Woods and about some of the winter services that Ballards has to offer.

We are back! We took some time off between open water and hard water to do some hunting. We were very successful in deer harvesting. We each shot 2 does to fill the freezer.

We are in some awesome ice making weather and each of us has been out to try some early ice. It has been really cold with little wind when the ice formed. Everything is shaping up to create a memorable winter on the ice.

We will be at Lake of the Woods this weekend and will give you a total report when we get back.
